About Commonwealth
Veterinary Clinic

Commonwealth Veterinary Clinic was opened in October 2022 by two Scott County natives who are excited to be back in their hometown, providing exceptional veterinary care. Dr. Emily Bridge and Dr. Abbey Biddle have over a decade of combined veterinary experience and are here to help the animals of Scott and surrounding counties.

We began Commonwealth with the vision of doing veterinary medicine differently. We strive to provide a comfortable, welcoming environment where both you and your pet will be at ease. Having a sick animal can be very stressful for both owner and patient, so we work to minimize the stress that comes with veterinary clinic visits. Commonwealth works hard to provide an all-around positive experience from scheduling to checkout. Your pet’s health and well-being are our top priority.

We are well-equipped to provide routine wellness care, including puppy and kitten exams, annual vaccinations, spays, neuters, and dental. Our dental X-ray system ensures that we can see problems that arise below the gum line. Our fully equipped laboratory includes in-house CBC, chemistry, and urinalysis machines. Our digital full-body X-ray and ultrasound can help us reach a diagnosis quickly and efficiently.

Commonwealth Veterinary Clinic is also available for more involved surgeries such as foreign body removal, splenectomies, GDVs, and amputations. Our modern surgery suite and highly skilled support staff ensure that your pet has the safest procedure and recovery possible.

Our veterinarians are well-trained and experienced in livestock and equine medicine. Commonwealth is happy to provide routine care for your livestock, including vaccines, dental care, pregnancy diagnosis, and reproductive care, as well as daytime emergency care, including bovine and small ruminant obstetrics and sick livestock visits. Our veterinarians are available to make farm calls in Scott County as well as in-clinic care for smaller livestock.
